Where do I even begin with this wedding?!

Lily and Alex are absolutely lovely humans. The kind of people you get on with right away, they have such a warm and fuzzy feeling about them. Lily enquired with me just a few months before their wedding day, and due to a cancellation, I was available! It was genuinely fate. Their wedding was truly beautiful and such a joy to be a part of! The photos of these two speak for themselves and the day itself was glorious. They were such a sunny, happy couple and their photographs are full of colour, bohemian luxe and so much texture. It was so special.

So much of their wedding day was DIY too, which I truly admired. From the flowers, to the self-supplied bar, the ceremony itself, which Lily's older sister officiated, even Lily's wedding dress was once worn by her mother and grandmother. They also made special efforts to include her lovely sister Beth, who passed away a few years ago. They had a peach schnapps bar dedicated to her, her husband was part of Lily's bridal party, and Beth's ashes were a part of her bridal detail photographs, which was an incredibly humbling moment. I have great gratitude to each of the couples who choose to share their wedding days with me, and I feel very fortunate when I am invited into their lives in such a special way.

After their low-key wedding ceremony in a small village hall in Newton Abbot, the couple jumped in my car and we headed to the beach for their couple portraits on the red sand. They were wished well by so many passers by, and in true nature to them both, even opened a bottle of bubbly on the beach, whilst they strolled along it barefoot in the sand. They are just so zen, and they were wonderful to photograph.
