My very last wedding of the year, and my first year in Devon.

Charley and Hugh, what a wonderful wedding you held yesterday at @holne_park_house and what a way to end my year. I wouldn’t have wished to have spent my day with a lovelier couple! Despite literal sideways rain and us all being soaked down to our underwear whilst battling coughs and colds and little sleep, somehow, we pulled it off. You two are the epitome of what it means to be my kind of people. People who not only trust the process but are willing to make the absolute most of whatever is thrown your way. The rain meant no confetti, no outdoor group shots, no sparklers… and the shortest ever series of couple photos in the rain. But my goodness did you turn lemons into lemonade!

Honestly I had the absolute best time yesterday and it was such a joy to see you make your vows to one another. A day filled with so much love and emotion, it was bursting at the seams. Thank you both for trusting me to just do my thing and for being such good sports, as you said, it was totally worth it!And, as a side note, I can’t believe the year is over… My very first full year working in Devon having moved from Essex. It has gone in a flash but it has been such an incredible year. I couldn’t be more grateful to be where I am now, living the life that I do and working with the most wonderful people. Being a wedding photographer is both terrifying and incredible and I am so thankful I get to do this.
