Amelia and Quinton

Two blue land rovers. Two incredible people and their two sweet dogs. A blend of South African and Irish cultures. A decadent Catholic church. A historic barn in a countryside setting. A gigantic tiramisu (cut with a sword, might I add!) An incredible wedding party and later a dancefloor that was absolutely popping with moves!! 💃🏼 I think that just about sums up Amelia and Quinton’s STELLAR black tie wedding at Coltsfoot Country Retreat in the Hertfordshire countryside last week.

My dad and I hadn’t met Amelia and Quinton until the big day, but it absolutely did not matter because they are some of the kindest, most hospitable people you could ever hope to meet, and, along with their families and friends, were such good craic! Our day started at the church, and after their ceremony we followed them in their Landy to the family estate, where we got to meet their dogs and spend some time photographing them. This was such a special time and gave them some quiet moments to take in the fact that they had just got married!

Amelia and Quinton wanted a relaxed approach to their wedding day, and this was really important in our approach as photographers. In Amelia’s words: ‘We genuinely couldn’t recommend Grace enough — not only an amazing photographer, but exactly the kind of person you want there with you on such a special day.’ The feeling is mutual. Weddings take a team, and so much of what we can create as photographers on the day is down to our couples. We couldn’t have asked for more. A
